Cougar RV Park and Campground is located in Cougar, Washington.   Yale Lake Reservoir is just one mile from Cougar RV Park and includes updated boat docks as well as plenty of parking.  For more information about Yale Lake Reservoir, Swift Creek Reservoir,  or Merwin Dam, please contact PacifiCorp at 503-813-6666.    We have plenty of boat parking available onsite for boating and fishing enthusiasts.   Speelyai Bay is just seven miles southwest of Cougar RV Park and also a popular place for boaters and water skiers. There is no overnight camping at Yale Lake Reservoir or Speelyai Bay.

Hunting is one of the most popular activities here in the Fall.  Elk and Deer hunting is considered to be some of the best hunting in the whole Pacific Northwest.   We also have Bear, Deer, and Cougar.  Be sure and check with Dept. of Fish and Wildlife for seasons and hunting regulations.  So have fun hunting the game of your choice and be safe.

If you are a bird watching enthusiast, we would love to hear from you. Up here in Cougar, WA you can observe many birds of prey in their natural habitats.  Photo opportunities are many as there is so much beauty in the hills and mountains in the surrounding area.  This is a photographers paradise.

Cougar, Washington has fairly mild winters.  However, we also get an accumulative amount of snow directly above us in the Mt. St Helens National Volcanic Monument and the surrounding Gifford Pinchot Forest.  This makes our area a popular place for snowmobile and cross country skiing enthusiasts.

In the summer and fall, you can pick wild blackberry and blueberry in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest.  Huckleberry is also in abundance. Be sure to follow regulations about removing forest products in this area.  It is prohibited in the Mt. St. Helens National Volcanic Monument.

Hiking is a great work out and an awesome way to see nature at it's very best.  We have some of the best and well maintained trails in the Pacific Northwest.

Cougar RV Park and Campground has added new modern restrooms and private shower facilities for all guests and visitors.  No more waiting for the next available restroom to become available.  We have two permanent buildings with modern facilities.

Cougar RV Park and Campground is an animal friendly park.  As we are friendly to our guests and their pets,  we ask that you only bring friendly animals with you when vacationing at our park.  All large dogs must be kept on a leash and owners are responsible for any doggie messes that may occur. Thank you.
